How a beginner should read the result

  1. Check whether each layout meets the target recording capacity.
  2. Check whether footage access and recording remain available after one drive fails.
  3. If rebuild write utilization exceeds 70%, test for dropped or delayed recordings on the real device.
  4. Verify the exact NVR model's official RAID support, maximum drive size, and surveillance CMR-drive compatibility.
RAID is not an incident-footage backup. Export important clips to another device before rotation overwrites them, then test playback. RAID 1 and 5 have no further drive-failure margin after one failure; RAID 6 retains one.

Performance-model limit

Available rebuild-time write speed simply subtracts the entered rebuild load from the measured array rate. Firmware, random I/O, rotation deletes, indexing, and temperature can change the real result.
